Toddlers vs. Fruits & Veggies

TwitterMoms is asking their readers how their readers sneak veggies into their toddlers' diets. Here's how we do it......

Ethan isn't really a picky eater. Since he was small, he loved his green beans & applesauce. When he started getting older and was able to eat solid foods, we started trying him on different veggies so we tried broccoli. He LOVES broccoli with American cheese melted on top. He will sit there and eat a whole plate of broccoli as long as we melt cheese on top.

He also loves his fruits. When he eats his breakfast in the morning, I usually peel an apple and cut it up for him so he can have it with his pancakes. Nine times out of ten he'll eat the apple over the pancakes!! I recently bought clementine oranges for him to try and he really likes chewing them to get the juice out of them. The clementines are nice because they are the perfect size for him! Another one of his favorite fruits is grapes. For an afternoon snack, he'll eat a bowl of grapes and sometimes share them with the dog!

I've noticed that I don't have to "sneak" fruits and veggies to him. As long as he sees mommy & daddy eating them, he'll eat them, too. He doesn't really like us to add much to the fruits. We have given him strawberries before and added sugar to them and he will NOT eat them. He prefers most things plain, without much added. Thank goodness he's not a picky eater!

Now, head on over to the TwitterMoms blog and check out their giveaway. Also check out the Little Blends website!
